Saying Goodbye to the Gummy Smile

Last night Landon was up several times in the night. He was just kind of being a fussy boy. This morning I felt a tooth on the bottom that must have popped through during the night! It will be sad to say goodbye to that cute gummy smile that I love so much, but at the same time all the changes are fun so much fun.

What have some of you done to help your babies through the teething phase?

Isn't it wonderful how the Lord made each new phase with our little ones so wonderful and amazing that it makes saying goodbye to the previous phase easier?

Teething seems to be a waiting process. Sometimes tylenol seemed to help, but not always. We tried teething tablets (little tiny tablets that you stick under their tongue) but not with much success. My kids favorite teething soother was chewing on my keys (I know, gross). Something about the cold metal I guess. Target sells a baby set of keys where the keys are made out of metal. That was a GOOD investment.

The teething tablets from Hylands did offer us some relief and they are all natural, so a good use between tylenol doses.

A tooth, yay! And now a lot more to come :) . Stuff to gnaw on is good, if they're interested in that. I don't give medicine out very freely, so I never gave Hayley any for teething fussiness, we just waited it out. I know I would sometimes rub her gums with my finger. Seems like so long ago.

Oh he's adorable. It's not just you who thinks he has the cutest smile!

I didn't notice mine had much trouble teething, but then maybe I wasn't very attentive?

MARCIE!!! I knew I had seen you before! I ran across your blog a few weeks ago, and I knew you looked familiar when I met you last night! Crazy! It's a small world! It was good getting to meet you last night.
