Grandma Helen

Last week Seth's grandma passed away. She had been suffering over the last couple years, so we are happy for her. She is no longer suffering and is now joined with our Saviour. She will be dearly missed by many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It is crazy that both of our grandmothers passed away in the span of a couple weeks. Won't it be wonderful to be free from death? No more pain and suffering. I can't wait for that day!

Here are some pictures from the funeral (taken with Shawna's camera):

Helen had 7 children, 6 girls (one being Seth's mom) and 1 boy. Most of them are pictured here

After the funeral, we all got together for some food and fellowship. I was in charge of feeding this guy (Finn) and many times I would have a bite ready for him but would be talking to someone and he would kindly tug at my sleeve reminding me to feed him! Once he tried to lean forward to get a bite of the food dangling in front of his face, poor boy.

Here is grandma holding baby Landon

Heaven is going to be so wonderful! I can't wait. You have quite a big extended family, with everyone having so many kids! I bet his grandmother had quite a full life here on earth. And it is crazy how yours & his went so closely together. That's your mom holding Landon in the picture, right? She looks so young!

Actually it is Seth's mom holding him and she does look great. Seth's gma did have a full life and she was an amazing servant who loved the Lord. Even in her last days when she couldn't remember much, she was still writing out, "the Lord is good to me." So encouraging.

If I live to be that old, I hope I can be like that. What an inspiration!
