Ephesians 3:20

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."

An incident this afternoon reminded me of this verse...

It all began Sunday while in Iowa. We had our church clothes on and were walking out the door. Poor Landon threw up all over Seth (or should I say poor Seth). It was coming out both ends... I think he's past the throwing up, but the other is sticking around. Today I took him to the doctor to get a stool sample and it was an experience I will never let Landon forget.

I took him some food, and prayed that he would go since I didn't want to be there all afternoon. Within minutes I heard some action down there. I took him to the bathroom to get the sample and there was not much there so I went to ask the nurse if it was enough.

In the mean time I heard more rumbling and screaming. I was so thankful that I was going to be able to get a sample! So, we went back to the bathroom and I was pretty sure he done. I got a really good stool sample and got a fresh diaper out. Then, the flood gates opened! He started screaming and shooting poop all over the place. He first made sure to get all his clean diapers - he wanted to make this fun for me. So, I picked him up and grabbed some paper towels to try to contain the mess. This poor kid had only begun. When he was finished in there, it looked like a science project gone bad. I sympathized for the person who would have to clean this up.

I grabbed a few clean paper towels to use to cover Landon and prayed as I walked the 50 feet down the hall back to the office. They let me come back to a room and thankfully had a diaper - it was a size 1, but we managed!

Afterwards, I went back to the bathroom and tried to clean up the mess as much as I could... I really hope the nurses took my advice and called the cleaning lady in!

On a serious note, I really am thankful the Lord answered my prayer so we wouldn't have to wait there all day! We haven't heard what the results are yet, but from the research I've done I'm thinking it might be Rotovirus. If that's the case, we probably have a few more days of this, but hopefully no more stool samples!

Please pray for our little guy as he's not eating much and is just not himself.

Oh, my word! I guess you won't forget that experience. I'm so sorry Landon is sick. :( We've had some coughs, but nothing like poor Landon. We will be praying! It is no fun to be sick like that. It was so good to meet Seth and Landon. Love you!

Remember when we were planning Emily's baby shower and we were talking about having everyone share their worst "pooh" story? I think this would have definately won top prize

Sounds like it's inevitable. There's poop in my future! I hope he feels better soon, I'm sure it stinks for everyone that he's not himself.

Rotovirus is no fun. When Nora and Gillian had it, that was the sickest they have been.

Hope he is feeling better soon!

I feel so bad for the poor little guy, but at the same time was cracking up at your story. Oh my goodness! I hope it isn't Rotovirus. Yucky! That poor skinny little man!

That sounds horrendous! Maybe kinda nice the mess didn't happen in your house?
I hope you all get back to normal soon!
