Finally some answers

Yesterday I met with a new doctor and brought in my paper work from back in October when we lost Samuel. My other doctor was never able to tell me why we lost our son because the hospital never sent him the results of some of the tests done. They just said there was a lot of clot around my placent that caused the abruption, and it was just a fluke. I had tracked down some of my tests at the hospital and brought them to my new doctor. She said I was positive for a couple of clotting factors: Factor 5 Leiden, and MTHFR. She said on my next pregnancy I will have to have Heparin injections twice a day and take a pill to prevent this from happening again. I was so thankful to the Lord that they found these things out.
Has anyone ever heard of these two things?

Marcie, I have heard of both of those clotting factors. Do you have questions about what will happen during your next pregnancy?

Here are some good articles to read:

praise the Lord that you have answers! the unknown can be so unsettling. i'm so glad it is treatable, even though 2 injections a day doesn't seem like much fun...
